Guess who, guess what

Guess who?
So, hubby and I were walking in 1U last Saturday when just outside of Watson, hubby meets an acquaintance. So, I brought my son to the side while hubby and Mr W starting talking just a bit. Mr W was waiting for Mr S to come out from Watson.
When Mr S came out, hubby introduced me to him.
We shook hands and after a few words both Mr W and Mr S left.
They were many steps ahead of uss when hubby leaned over to me and asked:
"Do you know who just shook your hand?"
"No, who?"
"Sonny San."
Oooohhhhh......so that was Sonny San. And this was how hubby knew him!

Guess what?

At last we took Christopher down to the swimming pool. He just got well and is due for his MMR jab, but we decided to give him (and us) a break this weekend.

He LOVES it. He was kicking around and splashing around.

I knew he was a bit nervous, coz occasionally he hung on to me for dear life!

(We were too lazy to blow up the float)
It was kind of like nervous fun for him!

Like they said: It's not what you know, it's who you know...

Heh heh..

I think all kids have a liking for water / pool. Probably cos they don't know the fear of it yet.

Then again I do recall Caitlin's inhibitions when I suggested to her to remove her floats (temporarily, I wanted her to start exploring no-float experience). She was very apprehensive, but soon got the hang of it and the trust that I wouldn't be letting go.

Which also means that i gotta start thinking about swimming lessons for her soon... It's one of the life-skills that I want my kids to have; why bother putting up pool-fences and wearing floats when I should be teaching them how to swim in the first place...

I can see Christopher is begging for more time in the pool. Nice shot of him in the water.

And you know what? Boy's swimsuit are more or less the same. Less design unlike girl's with lovely ribbon, two piece, etc. Envy, envy...

you should get Christ to get use to the float. DArren now never wanted to get into float in the swimming pool and only want to hang on to us...headache...

JLow - oh dear...I have seen kids at 1+ who REFUSE to get into the pool and will scream BLUE MURDER when their toe touches the water!

Julie - was too thrilled to bring him to the pool that I didn't really look at the little girl's swimming wear! But I can imagine so, considering their clothing!

BabyDarren - oh...hehehe...didn't think about that!!! OK....will do so next time! Thanks.

Bobobear - welcome back! I got it from Jaya Jusco. You know it is SO hard to get one the right size, so we bought the smallest available! The salelady says people in PJ all take their kids down to the pool so early. The smaller sizes ALL get bought up too quick! It is easier to get a set-top and bottom!

Andrea - yeah, after reading your posts on Tate, couldn't wait for Christopher to be well enough to go into the pool as well!

June - yes, he was having colds so often that the swimming pool was always off limits! But from pool to thick towel to warm water...and loads of prayer! hahaha...

aiyo lazy to blow the float ah? did your hands cramp like hell at the end of it all?!

look at how nervous the little one is (2nd photo) his right hand was finding 'security' *laugh*

Angeline - hahaha...no didn't get cramp. It was going to rain soon so we were in the pool only 20 min or thereabout. His hands were everywhere actually. Only when daddy started splashing water at him that he started to wrap his hands around my neck. But after a while also let go....then hug again...then let go....

A friend of mine is a real fan of Sonny Son. Me: Oh, ok..

Swimming for kids is a real adventure. Yes, hold on to them, let them enjoy the water all around and still feel safe. Soon they will be more willing to go off on their own. :)

P/s- Glad you dropped by to pick up your award. Was going to send out the invite, but the thunderstorm caused our fuse box to trip last night before I could.
