We can't decide!

We have 3 destinations in mind for a short break this August.

Kuantan/Chukai
Cameron Highlands
Malacca

And we can't decide.

Christopher doesn't really like the beach or the pool. But it could be Caylee's first time to both. And hubby has never been to the East Coast so mid year is a good time.

Both the kids have never been to a highland. Should be no jam in Camerons since it is not a school holiday. No need to walk too much, just drive and stop to visit farms. But nothing much to do in Camerons apart from that.

Both the kids have never been to historical places in Malacca or the zoo. And Caylee will require carrying since she can't walk a whole load of distance....and gets distracted too much! And we really need to get more San Shu Gong coffee.

So....where do you think I should go?

if it is during the Raya break, maybe Melaka or Kuantan is better place.

East coast may not have many eateries open during Ramadhan or Raya time thou...

You are NOT going end of August during the school holidays, right? Coz that's right smack into the Raya balik kampong jam too. I think the kids may be bored with Cameron altho the cold weather would be nice, but seeing plantations and farms?

Malacca Zoo or beachside Kuantan should be interesting...

Does Caylee sit in the stroller?

for me will be kuantan chukai. Can stop at bukit tinggi and the elephant sanctuary too.

I expect Cameron and melaka will have heavy traffic jam. Just loook at last year. Cars cant even move at Cameron.

I've been to Kuantan but no idea where Chukai is. For me, Kuantan is a boring town..hehe. Not much nice food also.

Malacca...yes. Cameron is not bad, all those farms are quite interesting and the pasar malam sells alot of cheap veges/corns.

Melaka should be a good start then. Journey is not too long and there are more places of interest to visit there :)

For me I will choose Cameron as the weather will be more cooling. Will be nice for the 2 kids and the adults can take it as a "recharge" too. With young kids, I just want "relax and comfortable" travelling. Dont't pack too many activities as the children and the adults will be too tired and you won't enjoy the trip so much. That's my opinion..

If you prefer cool weather, then Cameron is the best place.
If you are looking for best food, then Malacca is best option.

I vote for Cameron Highlands. The kids can go pluck vege and strawberries. Not hot and so the kids won't be grumpy.

Malacca can go anytime over the weekend 'coz one day trip is good enough.

Nothing much in East Coast except for the beach and food and moreover Christopher doesn't like beach.
